Close enough though. I am a western girl though. I have been to some of the Appalachian mountains in North Carolina and Virginia, but I prefer the Rockies for any activity. We were camping in them on the way to Washington DC, and it weirded me out. There were so few birds or life of any kind in those mountains. We did see a few deer when we went driving around, but to me, it was like Fangorn Forest. Not even any squirrels.
In the Rockies, there are birds everywhere and they are always singing. Chipmunks will crowd around you like tiny dogs looking for handouts in some parks, and the Rockies are just teeming with life. Since I love wildlife so much, I feel very comfortable there.

Yeah, I think that I would love it in the Rockies!! And you are right about the Appalachion Mountains. Everytime I go hiking there, I hardly see any wildlife at all. I love spending time in the serene outdoors, but when all you see is one or two squirrels and hardly a deer, you are definetely missing out on something. What I'd like to see sometime is a rattlesnake, but I'm always very careful when I'm around boulders and smaller rocks. And whenever I lift a rock, I always lift it so that the rock is acting as a type of shield (so to say), just in case.

That's so awful, sis!! I'm so sorry that happened!! I can't tell you how many times that's happened to me (too many times to be able to remember...) I hope that your teacher will understand when you explain the situation to her/him what happened. Some teachers have a soft spot that you just need to hit once in a while. But again, wow, so sorry about what happened. I hate floppy disks. I'm so glad that my newer laptop doesn't use them. I use the CD-RW's now...They hold a LOT MORE space and are less likely to get all mixed up. I just thought of something... (and please don't get your hopes up for your sake) Speaking as one that owns a VERY old computer, it might be possible that YOUR computer is refusing to read the flopping disk. Perhaps if you tried it in another computer it would recognize it. My computer can get incrediably finicky sometimes, and I remember a while back I was in a similar situation and I totally panicked. But after I calmed down to think more rationally, I decided to try it in my dad's computer. Low and behold, it came up onto the screen perfectly!! If you haven't already thought of that (and you probably have), give it a go. I pray that it works!! I know how exhausted you must feel and all you needed was for all that time to be "wasted" on work that you can't even prove you did. ~ Nienna
