Umm....this is kind of weird because I don't use forums a lot.....*ponders how to ask this* Are there any of you like, actual Elves? If you think I'm a lunatic please don't post. -_- But I believe that I am an Elf and I thought there might be some here! If so please post or write back or whatever you guys do here. lol

I fancy myself a real elf. ;D I love archery (although I've never done it before) and I'd love to learn how to ride a horse. Although my bad sense of direction and balance make me wonder... Nothing wrong with believing yourself an elf, but be careful who you say this to because not everyone is so strongly into LotR as you and me. Elves rock!

I've wondered myself, sometimes when I turn my head to the left or right while facing a friend and talking. They'll say sometimes "Whoa, your ears are pointed!" and then I look at them like they're crazy but... yeah. Plus, well... I love horses, ride them. I love animals, I still eat meat but believe it or not its rarely ever now. xD Then there's archery... I know very very little about archery, if I learned anything it was from John telling me o.O

Wow this is pretty sweet. I've spent a lot of my time looking for Elves, and at the same time people that are kind of, not accepted or considered weird ya know. Either of you ever feel that way?

lol by the way achery is the best sport ever. It's pretty sweet once you've gotten it down. I don't often ride horses, mostly because I never get the chance....but I love to spend as much time as I can in the woods just exploring and stuff, I LOVE nature!

If there was ever an Elf (or half-elf, in my case lol), I am it.
I am the girl - erm, she-elf - who will be sitting around talking about LotR to everyone I meet and they're like 'wow, you're bonkers' and I'm like 'Look here' and pull my hair back and they all fall out of their chairs laughing because my ears are so pointed.
If there were no chickens, I would be a vegetarian lol.
I was the girl who, when the bragging guys in my class prompted my teacher to say "Well, I'm suuuure ya'll could've done it, unlike the rest of the mortals in my class", promptly stood up and straightened him out to the fact that I was NOT a mortal - I was half elven - and he had better not forget it either or by the Valar I would make sure it was a mistake he did not repeat haha.
I have used a bow my whole life - my dad's killed deer with a bow before. And I can hit a bull's eye 8 out of 10 times.
If I lived on a horse ranch, I'd never want to do anything but ride.
I have an unnatural ability to get in trees quickly - I just have a problem getting DOWN lol.
I run around barefoot.
I can (in a proven experiment) walk on slightly frozen snow that's about 5 inches thick without crunching it.
I can wander through completely unfamiliar territory and not get lost - AND I can get those poor mortals' heads back on straight when they panic because they don't know where they are.
I prefer sitting outside in silence for hours to sitting inside with people talking.
And I'm definitely weird. In a good way, but weird lol.
Sounds like you and I have a lot in common, Cani! lol it's good to meet you!

lol You have no idea. I shall call you thel edhel, for sister-Elf. ^_^ Pleasure to meet you! Yeah people think I'm absolutely crazy for being an Elf. My cousin and I love to wear our cloaks to Wal-Mart and babble in Sindarin because people get so creeped out and we eventually find that it's less crowded. XD Here's the deal....we considered making a clan of Elves who had trouble finding a place in the world. We are currently in the process of finding someone to make a site because I honestly don't know much about making them >.<. The site would be about how to join the clan and how to find out whether or not you are actually an Elf and such. Hopefully it will be up soon... By the way I would do anything to live in New Zealand, where I hear LOADS of people can speak Sindarin. If the clan is full of enough Elves with plans to move to New Zealand (as many LotR fans do ) we might just do that! The thought of living in America all my life and having a daily job with a daily schedule terrifies me...-_- Another one of my crazy dreams is to recreate Rivendell with a library and statues and such. It sounds insane and impossible I know but as long as I have breath I will one day do it. Do you all have your Elven names? If not I can help you get them. Two sites you need to get one are realelvish.125mb.com/elvennaming.html which describes the process and realelvish.125mb.com/sindarin_names.htm which is how to actually translate it and stuff. It's less complicated than it seems, believe me! If I can be of any assistance let me know! Well I hope to speak with you all again soon! ~Gailrin Caniel Silifinu~

Excellent!! I don't sport as many elven characteristics as Eli, but that just means that I have more human in me... Right now I'm on an internship in Orwigsburg PA, and this place looks more like something out of LotR than I've EVER seen!! It's simply amazing...And I'll be doing a bunch of elven things here anyway...loads of hiking, possibly horse-back riding, (if there is a God...) ARCHERY!!, and who knows what else. I also went food shopping for myself yesterday, which was a trip in itself. You don't know how expensive it is to buy the "essentials" until you are on your own!! So I tried to just get stuff that's "good" for me, which equaled out to be fruits and vegetables, mostly, which would be characterized as elven food. ;D Yes, I did buy some meat, but I'm mostly human, remember! But if you eveR manage to recreate Rivendell, Caniel, let me know and I will be your first visitor!! ;D #passout_smilie#

If I can find plenty of Elves who are as, Elvish as I am I guess lol and brave enough to do something crazy, I plan on letting them live in Rivendell. Like, to have that as their home. I know I would rather do that than have a "normal" life. Hopefully I can find more live-in residents. I guess it's mostly for Elves that feel like, set apart from everyone. Of course some Elves will only visit, but I don't want to live there all alone. It would be so cool though, to not have a regular job and every day would be different you know. We can make stuff to sell in New Zealand so we can get the "essentials" we need to live. Families can visit too, since Rivendell was a haven for Elves and the few good mortals left. hehe Some humans will probably live too, but only if they're pro-Elf. LMAO. Gotta run, will post later! ~Gailrin Caniel Silifinu~

Hey, it could be done! People used to live like that! The only problem is, everyone in America is so used to technology and doing things the easy way that they'd all STARVE the first time they had to grow a garden and feed themselves lol. Unless they took me and the other Nicole along haha. And it would be so much fun! knowing you could just take off on a cross-country horseback expedition and not have to answer to a boss or a 9-to-5 time clock! That would be awesome ^o^ I'll come Cani lol!!

Unless they took me and the other Nicole along haha. Heck yah! People need to learn how to GROW their own food!! If I was at home right now, that's what I'd be doing!!!! And just for everyone's information, mushrooms are quite tasty. Thought you'd be interested to know that. ;D Just tried them the other day when another intern fried some on the stove. Now I know what my life has been missing. #whack# And it would be so much fun! knowing you could just take off on a cross-country horseback expedition and not have to answer to a boss or a 9-to-5 time clock! That would be awesome ^o^ Hey count me in!!!! Not having to answer to a higher authority? No time clock? Non-stop cross-country horseback expeditions for the rest of my life? Where can I sign up? #passout_smilie#

I can't believe this is happening! ^_^ I haven't been so happy in ages! I would like to invite you both to join the colony of Elves I've started, which has the official name of The Elves of the Dominion of Men. It's a group of the true Elves in the world, and I just started it not too long ago actually! I plan on one day all of us meeting and going to New Zealand together (cloaks and all! XD). We are going to have a Council, like the Council of Elrond, which will start as soon as our site is ready. Speaking of which, do either of you know anything at all about making websites?
Hope to talk with you REALLY soon!

lol Cani, if you were looking for true elves (albeit with a bit of redneck and/or insanity in them), you came to the right place!! At the moment I'm too young to go cavorting off to NZ, but as soon as I turn 18, sign me up lol!
(Unless she ^^ tries to bring along those mushrooms......
I kill her first, then leave lol)
And yes, we're both admins here, so we do know a bit about sites....
She knows more about running them and I know more about decorating/getting them set up (if they're a pre-made board, like a ProBoard).
If you're starting from scratch, go to 'Members' up there ^^ under our homepage banner and find The Revenant Shadow (an admin here) and Lady Alias (a mod here), and they can help you there. They're very smart in those things, where as me (Nicole #1) and her ^^ (Nienna/Nicole #2) just blow them up lol.

Will join shortly!

I'm more than pleased to have you! For more information on the Elvish colony, which by habit I'm calling "the clan" lol, you can visit my Xanga (http://www.xanga.com/ManderPander5102, don't make fun of the name! XD lol). Feel free to leave a comment, which means I hope you do. ^_^ *huggle* Thank you SO MUCH! I don't know why but I feel like things are finally starting to come together for this thing...lol. The only thing keeping me here in this dismal life is the need for a good job, which means the need for money, which is essential to building Rivendell. I swear if it weren't for that dream I probably would have run away by now. You guys are helping keep me here by giving me faith in it, and I thank you...
