Thank you guys!!! ;D Hmm. Celebrating, Wont be a big thing. I only turned 22 lol. But it seems our living room is looking like it will be ok for tomorrow as planned, So alittle close family gathering with cakes and such lol. But then again we are having, a little family reunion this weekend at the family property, that bears the family name. And I have a BIG family! So, it might be celebrating then too ;D Then with various spirits We did a bit of remodeling. I think it needed it, Not been done anything big with since my mother and father built the house in the late 60's early 70's lol

Yes.. It's common when our whole family meet. To party. We are all decended from the North. Even thought my grandparents moved to the west before any of my brothers were born. And my uncles were still children and teenagers lol. So we are all used to spirits, good tolerance one might call it You are welcome to come and experience Norwegian hospitality LOL

Well, I can switch with you any day now! I live near the woods and mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. lol
That's why I'm hoping to get to go to Switzerland to study.. No Ocean connection, just woods and mountains and lakes. Will be lovely!
But where do you want to go?

Oh I love the mountains!!!! I was in Montana, USA for 6 months and it was the best half a year that I ever spent. ;D I would like to work in Hawaii, USA...it's one of the most beautiful places in the country, but also one of the most expensive. I'm hoping to be able to save up a little money before I leave here for that reason. It'll probably be at least a 10 hour plane trip (maybe more, I don't know), and I'll be away from everyone and everything I've ever known, but I love adventures! ;D

I bet ;D And Hawaii. Oh how I have dreamed about going there.. Sandy beaches, ocean temps that don't go below 0. And palm trees. I hope you get to go there!! And expensive.. Oh I know how you feel. Norway is one of the most expensive countries in Europe! And getting worse too. But it's also the safest country to live in, in the world. So yeah. Saving up money would be good untill you get settled there! And a 10 hour trip?? wow.. That's long! Do you live far from Hawaii? The longest flight I have taken was 2 hours and 15 min. And I was bored after the 1st hour! lol But I bet you will have a great time there.. And you get a nice tan!! And an adventure isn't something you can say no too And everyone you know is just a phone call away. And now I wont be on for 3 whole days.. Going early tomorrow morning to catch the ferry to the city and then drive to the family property! Where basicly everyone is now.. It's just us they wait for now ;D See you all late sunday or Monday!

Didn't matter because I didn't come on until Sunday anyway. But thanks for all your encouragement!! ;D And yeah, I'm in New Jersey, so if you have a map to check, you'll also know how FAR that is from where I am!! And it really is a dream of mine and my aunts are really encouraging me to do it. My parents don't know about it because if they knew they would flip out. I wish I knew when I was going to leave... But that's enough about me. ;D It's great that you actually live in the safest place in the world. I will have to make it a point of visiting Norway one day. I hear that it is very beautiful. The closest anyone in my family has ever been to your country is when my dad spent a year in Iceland when he was in the Air Force. Do you get northern lights where you are??

And I'm back! And I'm ofcourse sunburned! I don't use sunscreen in my face because I never had the use for it. But now it seems I needed it. Since I'm close to lobster red in the face! But it will fade to a tan. So I guess there is something good about it ;D And omg I'm only saying.. Never join our very extended family again! And some weren't even related to us. Just offspring of offspring etc from one of my grandfathers siblings.. So washed out as you can get *laughs* It was quite dull friday night. But when saturday night came.. It took off! Spirits were flowing quite easily ;D And it was mostly just people that still live in the North. So it went almost trought the roof And I got pics and some vids *evil grin* I took some pics of the place we were if you want to see. It's quite beautiful. I'm so used to that kind of landscape it doesn't really affect me. But others might like it And you are welcome.. I have a similar dream, so I know how you feel! And good that you have some of your families support!! I know what you mean about parents thinking like that. I doubt my father would have cared if he was still alive. But my mother thinks that I will stay in Norway and get married like all others He**no. I intend on proving her wrong on that one! So just wait with telling your parents untill the right moment I will look at the map to find out.. And yes.. We get the Northern lights here every winter.. If it gets cold enough! And it's just lovely to see it dance across the sky! It's got a calming effect! Esp if it's really cold, it gets much stronger and bright. We have a saying here "that the northern lighs are departed souls crossing the sky to get to their final resting place. And if you wave something white at it, "they wave" back at you. As to saying goodbye." It flickers and it seems like it waves back at you. And yeah. It's nice to live here.. Our county didn't have a murder for all of 2007. And nothing so far in 2008 eighter. And it's very beautiful. But I don't notice it anymore.. To used too it. You should come here sometime.. But just save up enough money. Since we are much more expensive than the U.S. I have found out. But yeah. Iceland.. That's quite some distance from here.. And Much colder! Very long post ;D
