All movies need PLOTS! We'll be going there and back again in 2010, we already formed a Fellowship, saw the Two Towers, and the King Returned ;D What plot elements of Tolkiens mythology not in the Trillogy, or the Hobbit would you think fit best in this movie?

Not to double post, but I'm gonna have to lol PJ has said before (a while ago), when it came to the Hobbit movie that it could be interesting because Gandalf disappears for a while in the story, and goes off to meet with the white council. So PJ has mentioned the White Council before, as being missing story. Now they're having a second movie filling in gaps.... hmm...sounds like it's coming together the way I hoped ;D Here's a big list of things that happened in Middle-earth between The Hobbit and LotR- - Sauron expelled from Dol Guldur, and returns to Mordor to rebuild Barad-dur
- Gollum leaves the Misty Mountains to search for his Precious.
- Elrond reveals Aragorn's lineage to him.
- White Council Meetings
- The dramatic LAST White Council meeting with Galadriel/Gandalfs conflicts with Saruman
- Mount Doom erupts, causing last inhabitants of Ithilien to flee.
- Gandalf and Aragorn meet for the first time
- Aragorn enters service of Rohan. (Young Theoden could be tossed in here, like they mentioned in TTT)
- Frodo born
- Frodo's parents drown
- Gollum first encounters Shelob/Promises to bring her back "sweeter meats"
- Bilbo adopts Frodo
- Balin attempts to reinhabbit Moria.
- Saruman first uses Orthanc stone, becomes entrapped by Sauron.
- Suspecting Bilbo's ring is Sauron's One Ring, Gandalf and Aragorn begin their hunt for Gollum.

- Sauron expelled from Dol Guldur, and returns to Mordor to rebuild Barad-dur
Oooooo that will be interesting. ;D [/li][li]Gollum leaves the Misty Mountains to search for his Precious.
Lots of cool shots of the mountains, forboding shrieks from Gollum echoing and vibrating through the valleys...sweet. ;D [/li][li]Elrond reveals Aragorn's lineage to him.
Shock and utter dismay. Poor guy; he never wanted it. [/li][li]White Council Meetings
Would very much like to see what this is all about since we've been talking about it for the last few days. I'd like to research it, but I don't want to ruin it for myself. Better to be surprised. [/li][li]The dramatic LAST White Council meeting with Galadriel/Gandalfs conflicts with Saruman
Somehow even more dramatic than previous Council Meetings. Interesting... [/li][li]Gandalf and Aragorn meet for the first time
Now that is a meeting I look foward to seeing! ;D [/li][li]Aragorn enters service of Rohan. (Young Theoden could be tossed in here, like they mentioned in TTT)
Yet another sneaky way to bring back as many LotR actors as possible. ;D [/li][li]Frodo born
A baby Frodo? ;D Sorry Hobbit fanciers...no Elijah Wood. [/li][li]Frodo's parents drown
*dramatic chord* [/li][li]Gollum first encounters Shelob/Promises to bring her back "sweeter meats"
We all know how Peter Jackson is deathly afraid of spiders...the crew will no doubt be very amused by taunting him with all the Shelob stuff all over again. ;D [/li][li]Balin attempts to reinhabbit Moria.
Good luck. [/li][li]Saruman first uses Orthanc stone, becomes entrapped by Sauron.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Oh go ahead. [/li][/ul]

A basiclly agree with all of your reactions ;D Except your "NOOO" for Saruman = YESS But even all the ones that sounds cool, still may not really fit in the timeline. Like trying to get into Moria....although actually, a dwarf with Bilbo could mention it...hmmm

A basiclly agree with all of your reactions ;D Except your "NOOO" for Saruman = YESS Yeah, I thought you might. But I think that was more of a dramatic "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! " since we know Saruman's going to do it and there's absolutely no way of altering his fate. But whether he realizes it or not, it shall be his doom. So just let him. His decision to consort with Sauron creates a domino effect that changes countless lives. Like trying to get into Moria....although actually, a dwarf with Bilbo could mention it...hmmm That is very true! Using all those sneaky ways to get extra things mentioned. Oh now I REALLY want to go back and start reading the book again...but no, I can't...I must resist!

For the hearts of men...are easliy corrupted Lucky for you... "I AM NO MAN!!"I can quote LotR to suit my purposes too. ;D Ahh this is what I miss...quoting Lord of the Rings in a "normal" conversation. It's a beautiful thing. ;D

*extremely loud gasp* I would love nothing more than to see that!!! How could you know that I was just thinking about it not 10 minutes ago!! If Del Toro can pull this off, I will pay him the homage that is only reserved for someone as great as Peter Jackson.

And you wouldn't be alone!! And we could bake our own lembas and send him that too! For the long days of shooting. He'll need to eat on the run, and you remember what your friend Legolas said in the extended of FotR: "One small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man." Too bad Legolas never considered the appetite of a hobbit when he said that, but I digress. We're counting on Del Toro having a human appetite, after all. ;D

Hmm that's not such a bad idea, Faramir! Epilogues can be fun...mostly because you think the movie/story is over, then it goes into something else, which we all know can be very suspensful and exciting. And dealing with any of these movies, of course it will be. ;D
