Have you ever wanted something so badly and when you finally got it, it wasn't anything like you were expecting? I'm having a moment like that right now. Except it's probably a lot different than what you thought I was going to say.
My job agency called me at 11:09am today to see if I could go on an interview for a job they just got called for. Of course, when they called my house I just let the answering machine pick it up because I was too chicken. But I called back 10 minutes later to find out more details about the job (where it was located, what sort of job it was) and in the end just decided to take a chance.
So I went on the interview (which I had less than 2 hours to prepare for) and they really seemed to like me, but I know that this is NOT something I want to do for a long time. The bad part is that it's answering phones (which I despise), filing, and basic computer work in the usual MS Office programs...The good part is that if they hire me, I'll be on a trial period for a month to see if it works for me.
So there you have it. The biggest paradox in history. To be or not to be? lol I find out on Wednesday (morning, possibly) if I get the job. It all depends on the guy they're interviewing tomorrow morning, and if he blows them out of the water. So we'll see. There's another job that I interviewed for that I kinda want more. I was planning on calling them this Friday as a follow up to me sending them my resume. That's at somewhere called "Environmental Alliance"...without knowing anything about them, I'd probably say that that sounds up my alley...even though I would just be doing clerical stuff...
Where's trail work when you need it? lol......
My point... and I do have one...
Pretty much just to give those who frequent the forum a head's up on what one of the admins is doing in her "real" life. And we all know how much fun reality can be.
