Did any of you possibly think that I was going to say in this post that I have a favorite movie other than LotR?! Anyone that knows me well enough would scoff at such a comment! Anyway, before LotR (the movies of course, not the books!) I was very much a "Lion King" fan. From the time I saw it in the theater in July of '94 I fell in love with it (and might also have a great deal to do with my love of animals, especially the Big Cats hehe ;D ). Another movie that I like to watch from time to time is "The Patriot". This was the first movie I had ever seen with Mel Gibson and I really enjoyed it. If you are in a patriotic mood then you can be sure that "The Patriot" will fit the bill. Hmm...Well, when I am in a "stormy" mood (pun intended lol) I sometimes watch "Twister" because tornadoes are just so interesting to me and I've done so many projects and reports on them. For some reason I don't find hurricanes as exciting. *shrugs* Go figure... And when I just feel like "going back in time" I drag out one of my old Disney movies like "Pete's Dragon" (I watched it so much when I was little that I wore the tape out...I'm thinking that FotR willl experience the same untimly dimise...), "Sleeping Beauty" (Probably only liked it for the "spooky" music in parts and because the princess lived in the woods up until she was 16 years old. ;D ;D ;D hehehe One of the Indiana Jones movies or Back to the Future is cool too. Hmm I think that's all. My hallway closet is FULL of old tapes that I haven't watched in years. But since we've switched to the DVD player for most of our movie-watching pleasure most have been collecting dust. But ranking high above any movie that I have ever seen has definetly been the trilogy. My precious ... ;D ;D ~ Nienna

well, i have four movies that i would have to put at the top of my list other than LOTR. One would be "Master and Commander". I love the sea, and i think it had one of the best plots for a sea faring movie. Then i would have to say (sticking with the whole shipsea thingy) "Horatio Hornblower". there are like 6 movies, and all are great for action, suspense, comedy, and adventure. I also like "Pirates of the Caribbean". Who doesn't? And last, but certenly not least, i haveta say: "The Passion of the Christ". Deffinately the best movie made of Jesus Christ' sufferings!

I love the 'Lion King'!!!! ;D ;D It's definitely my favourite Disney movie!! ;D I remember seeing it the first time too..in a drive-in theatre outside ;D ;D (can't even find any more of those now..) hehe I love Pirates of the Carribbean too...(who doesn't?! ;D ) When I was little my favourite movie was actually 'Beetlejuice'....my mum tells me I used to watch it over and over and over!! Oh!! And I used to love the movie 'Milo and Otis' about the cat who drifts off in the box and the dog goes off finding her (some parts are really sad too!! )....I still have the tape and I watch it every now and then..when you really love a movie as a kid you really do have to watch it every now and then! ;D ;D hm...what else...... My favourite anime movie would probably be 'Princess Mononoke'. ;D Other movies I love are the Star Wars trilogy (the originals are sooooo much better!!!!); and I'll admit I still love 'Titanic', Lost & Delirious (beautiful movie) and...... *manages to not mention LOTR * hehe As soon as I click, 'post', I'll think of one I completely left out and have to edit it in...

That is so funny...Ared, you just named most of my favorite movies when I was little...Beetlejuice (well, maybe just a little ...Milo and Otis (I still have the tape too!!)...and Titanic. But I was never into Anime...I'm sure my roommate from last year would know what Mononoke is because she lives and breathes Anime the same as I do Lord of the Rings. ;D ~ Nienna

Oh God, I probably saw that movie when I was 5. THAT'S how I became to LOVE archery (it didn't start with LotR like most of my friends tease me about)! All this stuff will eventually start coming back to me as people mention it. My memory is mush. ~ Nienna

My first "favorite" movies were the Star Wars Trilogy, which I now have on DVD (And I have watched EVERYTHING and even the secret crap, hurray!!.) Although I love the old ones with no super awesome CGI. I loved it for the story, not it's special effects. I'm still in love with Lion King. I mean.... music, LIONS, what more could anyone want? (I'm exaggerating) I mainly love Trilogies, to be honest. It gives you more insight on everything. Not The Matrix though. Darn diddley, could they get any worse on the last two. SW LotR Indiana Jones Back to the Future... And some more that I will later regret not putting on here. Toodles. LLAP
