lol Don't even ask... And I'm only half kidding! And the coke truck incident would only be funny if Eli's the one to tell it. Geez I was hearing about that poor horse for weeks before I finally got a story to go along with it. And only THEN was it completely satisfying. ;D

Uh yeah, about that lol.....
Ok, so our friend Angela gives us her Shetland pony to.... well... pony-sit, haha. It basically turns out we keep it forever cause she conveniently forgot to come back lol. I was about 5-6. And it was a NASTY little pony. It bit, kicked, bucked, rolled over, ran people into trees, etc. etc.
So it gets out of our yard about three times, right? And we lived in Moore, right on I-35, so we were SURE it was going to get hit or something. Bad place to be a runaway pony. So anyways, Daddy ends up tying its rope to a iron handle embedded in a concrete block that covered our meter in the back yard. So one day we wake up, turn on the news, and hear 'Breaking news! A small horse or pony was found dead this morning on such-and-such exit ramp. About 3 AM, it had apparently been hit by a Coke truck attempting to get off the highway. If anyone has any information, please contact the local police department at such-and-such number'. My parents went 'awww', my brothers cried....
And I laughed. Something to the effect of 'haha, the evil pony got pancaked by the Coke truck!!! Oooo - pony pancakes, anyone?'.
I was a sadistic little child haha.
So we run outside to the backyard, and find that the evil little pony (the really, really, really SMART little pony, also) had stood on the block, PULLED THE HANDLE OUT OF THE CONCRETE, went over to our 4-5 foot fence (you know, the chain link kind), BENT THE FENCE UP FROM THE BOTTOM, and wriggled out.
So Mamma has it in our scrapbook that, of all our animals that died or unnatural causes (eating themselves, eating one another, falling out of trees, etc.) that Pockets the pony was the only one who could claim he'd been hit by a Coke truck ;D.

Oh my God, you NEVER told me that it was on the news too!! Poor pony, but GEEZ!! If it was that evil then it deserved to be turned into a pancake! Just think...if it had survived it would have become a local celebrity! People would have come from miles around to see the pony that was hit by a coke truck and lived! They would be asking you to sign autographs as the owner. ;D
