No one's posted here yet? I'm sure that everyone who writes has SOME ideas that they can share! Well, personally my own LotR fiction is in the works. One of the ways that I motivate myself (and it improves the quality of my writing too) is figure out what kind of mood I am in. Then I chose a fan fiction or book of someone else's that goes along with my mood and read it. For example, if I am in the mood to write some angst I will read something of that genre from an author that is good. Then after about 30 minutes to a half hour (suddenly this feels to me as if I'm reading off a food recipe...) of "absorbing" the material I start writing. It may seem like I'm speaking of plagerizing, but really, it's not. I am ALWAYS sure not to copy the person's work at all. I just use their words as a way to pump myself up and motivate myself. It sounds like a very odd way to go about, but I swear by it. It works.

Picture it like a movie in your head then write what you see.

That's good advice! If you can use all your senses to help describe it, it makes all the difference in making it as real as possible.

Yes, depending on the story content. What are YOUR stories about, that's what I ask myself...

Uh oh...I guess my question should have been "What are your stories rated? And sure, if you think they're safe, I'd love to read some.

*grins* I'm not even sure I can tell you what they're RATED lol....
Hey, when I was with my parents I had nothing better to do. I wrote lots and lots of sappy romance novels lol.
Only problem: not all of it's sappy, lol.
